Special interest group for anyone interested in the behaviours and psychological symptoms associated with dementia (aka ‘changed behaviours’, ‘BPSD’, etc.).

Aims of special interest group

  1. To foster research into prevention and management
  2. To encourage research implementation
  3. To encourage collaboration in research and implementation between researchers, service providers, people living with dementia, their carer partners
  4. To provide a forum for discussion

The group is linked with the Dementia Centre for Research Collaboration (DCRC) based at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia. This group forms part of the NHMRC-National Institute for Dementia Research (NNIDR) and is funded by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC).

If you know other people interested in being involved please ask them to email Dr Claire Burley c.burley@unsw.edu.au. Anyone interested in this area is warmly invited to join including: professionals, people living with dementia, family members and/or carers or anyone else with an interest.

Please also sign up to the NNIDR Membership Network by completing the following form:  NNIDR Membership Application Form and email it to bojana.kos@nnidr.gov.au. Near the footer of the form please also tick that you would like to become a member of the Dementia Centre for Research Collaboration (DCRC).
